Martine Nathan, George Stead, Andrew Hughes and others were delighted to act for the shareholders of the Genius Sports Group in agreeing the terms on which private equity firm Apax Partners will acquire the Genius Sports Group.
Founded in 2000 Genius Sports is a leading global player in sports data, insights and media distribution. Providing technology to more than 150 licensed sports book operators in regulated markets worldwide.
Under the terms of the acquisition the Genius Sports Group’s management team are remaining in place and retaining a minority stake in the company. The acquisition is anticipated to complete by end Q3 2018. The financial terms of the transaction, which was announced on 30 July 2018, are undisclosed.
