Biography
Michelle is a property lawyer, with a Masters in Professional Legal Practice, currently working as a Professional Skills Lawyer in the Real Estate department. Her experience includes acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant matters, real estate refinance matters and due diligence for the property aspects of corporate transactions.

Experience:
- Lead a large team on a £300m+ refinance and restructure of a mixed residential and retail property portfolio, involving two large clearing banks (and completion being required to take place simultaneously), involving drafting of CLLS Certificates of Titles.
- Acting for a major property developer and investor in relation to lettings of its large Central London portfolio (often requiring all parties, round table meetings) including a mixed use, office and retail Central London building valued at c.£100m and lettings to academic institutions.
- Acting for several well known restaurant operators on new leases of units in shopping centres and other properties.
- Advising insolvency practitioners on property disposals in insolvency situations.
- Drafting and negotiating complex agreements for leases, leases, licences for alterations and rent deposit deeds.
- Negotiating agreements for sale, including TOGCs, assignments of leases requiring Landlord’s consent, transfer of premises licences and deeds of assignment of fixtures and fittings, goodwill and maintenance contracts.
- Management work for Landlords including licences to assign and underlet.
