Biography
Tom specialises across a range of corporate matters and regularly acts for private companies and entrepreneurs on M&A deals, corporate re-organisations, joint ventures, investments, and other company law matters that often involve an international element.
Before joining Teacher Stern, Tom worked in the Legal Unit of the European Banking Authority (EBA) in London where he gained extensive experience in financial services law and EU institutional law.
Tom also practices independently as a Notary Public and is a member of the Notaries Society in England and Wales. In his capacity as a Notary Public, Tom is able to offer a wide range of notarial services to both individuals and companies. For more information about Tom’s notarial services please click here.

Representative experience
- Acted on a £110 million cross-border corporate sale of a student accommodation in Kent to a multinational insurance company (the sector’s largest non-portfolio deal in the UK since 2017).
- Acted on behalf of a leading developer of solar energy projects in the Middle East on its investment in a London-based company which creates and develops numerous renewable energy projects across Europe.
- Acted on the sale of a well-known English football club to a consortium of foreign investors.
- Acted on behalf of a luxury footwear designer based in London on multiple equity investments from well-known family offices from Europe and the South East.
- Acted on behalf of a high-end restaurant client in connection with their first round of equity investment and the implementation of their business setup and franchise plans in the UK.
