David Rubin & Partners Limited acquired by Begbies Traynor Group Plc
The acquisition of the insolvency practice David Rubin & Partners by Begbies Traynor was completed earlier this week.
David Rubin & Partners, with offices in London and Guernsey, has a team of 72 partners and staff, all of which will join Begbies Traynor following the acquisition. Teacher Stern acted on behalf of the sellers of David Rubin & Partners.
This acquisition is the largest that Begbies Traynor has undertaken to date and is key to its growth in the business recovery and financial advisory markets, especially within London.
It was a great Teacher Stern team effort with many fields of expertise within the firm coming together to deliver the result. The Teacher Stern team was led by David Salisbury and Kelly Whitfield in our corporate department, with assistance from Tom Ginot and Jenna Grabiner, and Siobhan Parish and Sarah Glockler advised on the property and employment aspects respectively.
David Salisbury, Managing Partner at Teacher Stern said, “We are delighted with the outcome for our clients after a period of complex negotiations within tight time constraints. As a team, we worked hard to achieve the best possible outcome and this acquisition is a great success for our clients. It was a pleasure to work with the owners of David Rubin & Partners, clients with whom we have a great relationship and a long history. We wish them all the very best at the beginning of this new era.”
Paul Appleton, Managing Partner at David Rubin & Partners said, “The Teacher Stern team led by David and Kelly did an outstanding job in guiding us through the negotiations and a huge amount of legal paper work. They provided invaluable support to us throughout the process and we are grateful to them for their guidance and assistance.”
